I created Lost and Found for an undergrad assignment to make a short animation about a powerful life experience. Nothing like this ever happened to me, but I based the film off of a very distant memory: grabbing onto someone else's leg in a department store when I was a little kid, thinking it was my dad. I remember that momentary flash of terror when I realized my mistake, and I ran with it for this assignment. With this piece I wanted to suggest that the assumptions we make about safety and protection can be deeply mistaken.
The frames were drawn digitally in Photoshop, and animated in Flash. Finished March 21, 2007.
